Construction Methodology

Dunk’s Mandolins are constructed using a mixture of CNC part production and handwork. All wood joints are completed using hot hide glue. Necks and bodies are married via a traditional tapered dovetail. All components besides tailpieces and tuners are made in- house from raw materials. Finish consists of an oil varnish with a french-polished topcoat.
